In my 13 years as a photographer, I have photographed well over 200 weddings. I pride myself in offering a collection of photos that are natural, candid and also traditional posed photos. Often when I meet with people they ask me what they should be looking for in a photographer. What I tell them is that anybody can put people in a group and compose a photo. And with advanced photo editing software, amateurs can take an amateur photograph and touch it up later to make it look somewhat professional. But what can’t be duplicated is the true art of capturing a fleeting moment, anticipating a look a smile, a tear and being able to get the photograph without being intrusive. I work quietly, making people that I photograph feel comfortable and at ease–so much so that they even forget I’m there. It is always fun to photograph at the variety of venues available; whether it be the the coast, Mt. Hood, wineries or vineyards or a boutique hotel downtown, all have their own unique charm.
